Defining The Problem

We have an itch to do deep research about the problem.

The client had a vision for addressing the daily challenges faced by elderly people living independently.
These challenges included household maintenance issues, a lack of medical assistance, and the need for a health emergency response mechanism.
The client aimed to develop a single platform that could provide a comprehensive solution for senior citizens in their daily lives.
The platform would address issues such as medication reminders and scheduling doctor appointments to improve the quality of life for elderly people.

Understanding The Need

The client needed a web application for elderly people to assist them with daily difficulties.
The app should help elderly people track their health, contact preferred person in emergencies, and receive notifications for problems at home.
The app should also provide reminders for medicines and appointments.
Various development models and integration with smart devices were required, such as smart band, blood pressure monitor, glucose monitor, smart scale, and oximeter.

Progressive Web Application

Zealous proposed an intuitive and user-friendly Progressive web application that acted as Health and household assistant of the Elderly People.

Household System Integration

We proposed Integration of Household systems to provide real-time updates when incidents like Water Leak and Fire outbreak occurs.

Single click SOS calling

To help elderly people make contact easily in terms of emergency, Zealous proposed saving of emergency numbers and calling in single click.

Requirement Analysis

Team of Solution Consultants understood the client’s requirements and defined the Flow of the Application along with its functionalities.

Scope Documentation

Entire scope of Development was finalised and after due diligence, a detailed scope document was provided to the client for approval.

Elderly Friendly UI designing

After the development, the design team along with UX designer designed the navigation flow and elderly friendly graphics.

Two phased Agile Development

An intuitive Progressive web app was developed using Agile methodology in two different phases where first phase was module development and second was Smart Device Integration.

We also catered our Client periodic testing regime on the system.

The fight was tough but so fun to crack!

The biggest challenge that our Developers faced was integrating APIs of various Smart Devices into the Client's Web Application. Each Smart Device had unique integration requirements, and frequent monitoring was necessary to ensure the Web Application operated without glitches.

To address this challenge, we at Zealous proposed a two-phase progressive development plan for the Web App.
In the first phase, we focused on developing modules, while in the second phase, we thoroughly researched and integrated Smart Devices that were most compatible with the Web Application.
Additionally, we offered Software Maintenance services to the client to monitor and manage changes and updates in Third Party Applications.
